Drumline Major

Inspired by an image of an enthusiastic young boy marching in a New Orleans parade, I reimagined him in a new scenario, elevating the young man to become the leader of the parade- the Drumline Major. The repetitive movement of his hands and feet captures the energy and motion, in the artist's tribute to Marcel Duchamp's "Nu Descendant un Escalier" or in English, "Nude Descending a Staircase."
